Hello and welcome! 👋
I’m Sarah – originally from Austria and specialized in teaching authentic, everyday German (and Austrian German!). For over five years, I’ve been teaching on italki and helping learners around the world speak real, natural German – whether for travel, work, or simply to chat confidently with native speakers.
My teaching style is personal, tailored to you, and always with a touch of humor – like a good conversation with a friend.

I'm very experienced in teaching absolute beginners, grammar and conversational classes while using different teaching methods and materials. I teach every aged from 15-99!

In our first lesson, I can determine your language level and we can talk about your learning goal and how to achieve it quick and easy! ✅
I mostly work with PDF files with useful vocabulary and example sentences, newspaper articles, videos and audios related to up to date subjects.
I also provide homework material as well as homework correction!☑️
I use free online courses for my German Absolute Beginner Course as guidance, so much fun!
My main aim is to teach authentic, real life German in a supporting environment!
I'm happy to correct errors right away or to take notes and speak about it at the end of the lesson.My teaching material

I am a beginner in German (starting from scratch), and I can't recommend Sarah enough! She is so kind and approachable, and is also amazing at explaining the nuances of German grammar.
