Hi, I’m Karen—a native English teacher from South Africa with 25+ years of teaching-experience.
I specialize in helping students of all ages (kids to adults) in all levels of English. I include conversational, grammar, fluency, and pronunciation in my lessons. Whether you’re needing help atschool, prepping for an interview, IELTS, or just daily conversations, my adaptable approach ensures lessons fit your goals. I have been working on Italki and other teaching platforms for 6 years with students ranging from children to adults. Whether you're a beginner or improving your fluency; whether you are preparing for an iterview or and Ielts test, I tailor every lesson to meet your unique goals.
Teaching is a privilege and a passion and that's why I love my job!
My lessons are well-rounded -- Conversation is by far the best way to learn and improve your English skills. However, grammar is always needed and I include grammar especially when correcting your mistakes.
We work out of various grammar books, I like looking at videos and reading articles, so my lessons are varied.
