Hi there! I'm from England, and I love helping people learn English, especially those who are studying for exams like IELTS, EIKEN, and PET. I also enjoy assisting with tasks like checking your writing, creating presentations, and translating from Portuguese to English. It makes me happy to help people with job interviews and business English too. I really enjoy having conversations with people and learning about their hobbies and cultures. I am a highly qualified teacher with almost 30 years of experience, having taught students from ages 6 to 80. I hold a BSc (hons) degree, a Masters in Education, a PGCE teaching qualification, as well as a TEFL certificate and the ILETS teaching qualification. As a teacher, I am known for being calm, supportive, happy, and positive in my approach to teaching.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are structured for 55 minutes to allow me 5 minutes to prepare for the next student. Each lesson is customized to fit the individual student's needs. Before class, I send out work, and after class, I provide notes and corrections as necessary. I offer children stories or news articles in English that are appropriate for their age. In addition, my lessons cover grammar, pronunciation, and homework, if desired. As a tutor, I am patient and kind.
