Hello everyone! My name is Sam. I am a native Mandarin speaker who is enthusiastic about teaching Mandarin Chinese and English. I also enjoy learning foreign languages and cultures. I studied Business Management at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. After finishing my study, I started working as an accountant while teaching Chinese as a private tutor at the same time. Besides Mandarin and English, I can also speak French and Russian. I am currently learning German and Swedish in my spare time. I also enjoy playing the piano and the violin, traveling, going to music concerts and cinemas. I have experience in teaching general Chinese and English in the classroom and online. I also have experience in teaching HSK, business English, and IELTS exam preparation. I have a CELTA English teaching certificate granted by Cambridge. The content of my lessons usually depends on the students' goals of learning. I can always adjust my methods of teaching and learning pace to better assist students to reach their goals and expected levels. I often encourage my students to use their learning languages as much as possible to practice their language skills. My lessons are always friendly, comfortable, and relaxing. Aside from teaching, it is also good to have casual conversations to help you enjoy the learning process.
