I'm Caolan, I'm thrilled to be part of the italki community!
I am a teacher and outdoor enthusiast from Ireland, And I've spent years teaching both outdoor sports and English. Exploring different parts of the world and learning about new culture is my absolute passion. When I'm not busy, you'll find me surfing waves or kayaking.
Living in Barcelona, I use Spanish every day, but I'm still learning and improving. On weekends, I love to connect with friends back in Ireland for some online gaming. All my classes revolve around conversation. I prioritize understanding my students and tailoring classes to meet your specific learning needs. For the best student experience, I prefer using Teams or zoom classrooms and incorporate a variety of engaging materials.
I develop custom language materials emphasizing English grammar, ensuring each class integrates them for effective learning. Additionally, I conduct workshops for interview preparation and pronunciation improvement.

Business English teacherAs a teacher at Chalmore my responsibilities have increased as I am now totally responsable for course planning and online administration. Everyday I need to consult with each of my students to ensure they have the up to date class info and links as well as making adjustments to their schedule. The clients I am working with are also exam and business students which require a heavy amount of preparation before each lesson.

Teacher trainer /exam preparationsMyEs Barcelona was a start up, I was hired to assist in the opening of the new school so there would be an experienced teacher alongside the director of studies, My main role was that I created student course plans for Exam preparation whilst also training new teachers that entered the team. I also helped in planning events for students to socialise and gain more oppertunities to learn.
