I am a certified professional teacher with 7 years solid ESL teaching experience! I love traveling, meeting different people along the way, working out, reading informative articles, listening to music and watching movies. I can say I am a citizen of the world because I want to immerse myself in different cultures and learn from different people of different nationalities. That's why I am here on italki!
As a teacher, I am very patient, relaxed and encouraging. I do my best to be professional in my classes with that extra personal care. Depending on the level and the age of the student, my body gestures and physical responses make the students feel active and focused on my lessons. I love sharing my ideas and opinions but I am also a good listener, open to what the students might want to share. That's why I also find satisfaction in stimulating conversations. I can also be very funny and I laugh a lot, even if there is nothing to laugh about. I am just a happy teacher and I hope I can make my students happy as well.
I believe in the principle of "LEARNING BY DOING." I have learned that from my education background as a licensed professional high school teacher. The analogy that I always use is this: I don't just teach students how to drive, I let them drive! It means that my teaching style involves a lot of activities that can stimulate the learning of the students.
