I had such a nice first lesson with Taras! He went over some basics and then helped me feel comfortable communicating right away. He was very patient with me, which helped me feel more confident to try and say more things. He was also easy to understand. Definitely recommend!

I had an amazing first lesson! We chatted a bit at first to assess my level of Russian, then we did some exercises. I learned many new words and many synonyms for words I already knew. Taras provided examples for every new word so it was easy to understand the meaning from the context. Большое спасибо! Мне понравился наш урок. Выучила много новых слов.

My trial lesson was a absolute desaster. From the 300 lessons in Italki, where I had around 10 different teachers, it was by far the worst one. So bad, that I quit the lesson after half an hour, even though I booked for 60 minutes. Why?: 1. He did not speak English. Even simple questions e.g. "What is the meaning of the word?" Had to be written in the chat, that he could translate it via Google translator. In his profile he indicated that the speaks fluent English. 2. He was watching porn DURING (!!) the class. 3. He had over 40 tabs open, and therefore had a horrible connection. 4. Left the class 4 times. Italki should really look into his profile and I am hoping that Italki has a record of this class (since the class took place with the Italki video tool) to e.g. see him watching porn DURING the lesson. In my opinion, he should be banned from Italki.
