I have had four different teachers on and off before, but Ida is by far the best. In my opinion, she is truly exceptional. I’ve been studying with her for around three months now, and I’ve found her to be an expert in teaching Finnish, especially in combining grammar with speaking in a very simple and effective way. I see myself more confident in speaking and using grammer. Best thing about her is that her energy level is always the same, which motivates me a lot. Her lessons are simple yet incredibly useful for improving my spoken Finnish. I also get plenty of opportunities to practice writing. Overall, learning the language with Ida is fun, progress is quick, and easy. She is patient and continues to correct my mistakes until I get them right. I feel comfortable making errors in pronunciation or grammar as she corrects them in very simple ways. I couldn’t ask for a better teacher!

I've been having weekly lessons with Ida for almost 3 months now, and I am incredibly happy to learn with her! She makes me feel at ease despite my very limited knowledge of Finnish, and I actually often find our conversations quite fun. She also has a talent for speaking so clearly and slowly (and probably choosing simple vocabulary) that I actually understand her very well. She keeps a helpful "logbook" of concepts and vocabulary, and gives me suitable grammar topics and resources to study (and then actually practices them with me in the next lesson :D), or even comes up with exercises herself if I struggle with something. She also has good resources for starting conversations suitable to my level, and with keeping me talking - I found it frustrating in the past when teachers started topics which were completely out of my reach. This does not happen with Ida :) And lastly, Ida is fun, kind, patient and encouraging! Thank you, Ida, I am really happy I can learn with you :)

I had a really great experience with my teacher while preparing for my YKI test. She first analyzed my level and then focused on the areas where I needed the most help, especially writing. I had already passed the speaking part, but writing had been something I struggled with a lot. She made writing much easier to understand and helped me improve in a very short time. Her guidance was clear, practical, and really effective. I’m very grateful for her support and would definitely recommend her to anyone preparing for the YKI test!

I’ve been taking conversation lessons with Ida, and it’s been a fantastic experience. She is incredibly patient, and our lessons are focused on speaking, which has helped improve my confidence in using Finnish. She always takes the time to explain phrases clearly and guides me on how to say things more naturally and correctly. Ida is a wonderful and reliable teacher. She is easy to communicate with and provides help when needed, while still letting me practice speaking independently. Lessons are consistently prepared, and the materials focus on useful, everyday vocabulary🤍🩵 Totally recommend

It was a very good introductory lesson. We went through ordering in a coffee shop. I practised pronunciation. I will need to review all the material!
