EMPOWERING people through language learning for more than 6 years WELCOME TO MY PROFILE <<<I'm AVAILABLE most of the time so please choose the time that's more convenient for you>>> Hello! My name is Elcidio and I'm 23 years old. I was born and raised in Mozambique. I really love learning new languages and meeting new people. I currently speak Portuguese as a native speaker, english, french, spanish and I've recently started learning mandarin chinese. I'm also passionate about music and art. My favorite artist is Malangatana. I like reading mindfulness books, business books and fiction. I also like to discuss about politics, science, nature and the environment. I'm also an entrepreneur, I started my business "a hardware store" in June 2021. I've got over 4 years of experience teaching Portuguese and English online, and before that I used to be an English tutor for adults, which gives me 7 years of experience. I'm very patient with my students and I encourage them to make mistakes because that's the only way they can learn. Details are very important to me, so I tend to focus on them; things such as pronunciation, accent mark( if we are writing ), sentence structure are very important. I like to correct without interrupting so I usually let my students finish their sentence before giving them a tip. Having a private tutor allows you to have personalized classes: just a few rules: - Don't be shy, you learn by making mistakes. - if you don't understand something, ask right away. - try to forget your native language for a while I offer perso...

It was really nice working with Elcidio again today! Class was really insightful and left with me a few things to think about! I really appreciate this kind of class because it goes much further than just Portugues. Improving my language skills will always be the main objective in my conversation classes but it's really nice to sometimes be in a class where I forget that I'm even learning a different language because I'm enjoying the insighful conversations so much. I'm really looking forward to the next one!

Elcidio has a talent to ask the right questions to keep you talking. The perfect exercise for me to improve my Portuguese. Even though he speaks English, he never says a single word in English during the lesson - the whole conversation is in Portuguese. That's very encouraging.
