Hi, my name is Nika, I'm from Zagreb, Croatia and I'm looking forward to teach Italian on Italki.
When I was a little girl, my parents brought me a doll from Italy, but not just any doll. It was a long curly hair doll, taller than me, that could walk and sing in Italian!
I think that was the moment I fell in love with the Italian language.
I was so happy when, in high school, I got the opportunity to study Italian as a second foreign language and when it came to choose my major at the university, I had no doubt, or the Italian language and literature or nothing :).
Me as a Teacher
As soon as I graduated, I started working in a language school.
I have worked with people of all ages and of all levels and backgrounds, big groups, small groups and one-on-one.
I can offer you my knowledge, 20 years of experience and a good will to help you in your learning journey.
I like working with people who are dedicated to their goals and who find time to achieve them. I'm really happy when my students learn something new or improve their language skills and this requires seriousness from both (student's and teacher's) sides. However I like my lessons to be relaxed and friendly.
Online teaching offers a lot of possibilities and I always implement new features I discover. My lessons & teaching style
My approach is communicative. I like using texts and videos, I also use specific exercises tailored to your needs.
If you are interested in everyday topics and you like psychology, personal development, how to find calm and happiness in the modern world, healthy lifestyle, relationships, Italian music, movies and TV series, cuisine, unforgettable places to visit etc. we will get along very well :).

In addition to structured materials and excellent teaching methodology, Nika has inexhaustible patience and energy, so she managed to create and maintain a high level of engagement for the entire 60 minutes. As a teacher myself, I know that this is very difficult to achieve with some students (and my daughter is unfortunately one such students), but with Nika she stayed focused and I could actually see progress by the end of the lesson. Thank you for another great lesson, Nika!
