I am a proud Mexican born in Guadalajara but living in a different place of the world every month. I love traveling almost as much as I love teaching Spanish and English. They are both my native languages because I grew up speaking them daily. I am currently trying to learn Japanese myself so even though I'm fully bilingual I also fully understand the journey that's mastering a new language. We come to this world to learn and grow and I genuinely love accompanying others on their language journey. I truly believe that kindness eases change, so this is my principle for teaching.Me as a Teacher
I have had the privilege of being a Spanish teacher for five years and counting. Throughout these years I had the opportunity to see which strategies work best for learning and which don’t. I use this knowledge to figure out exactly what every individual student needs to master the language. After all, no two people learn the same way; some of my students learn better by seeing and some by doing. These one-on-one classes are like a tailored suit, fitted to be exactly what you need and match your level at all times. I know how hard it is to learn a language from scratch and I’m here to help you.My lessons & teaching style
Practice truly makes perfect but practice also takes time, my catchphrase is that there is no rush. I am patient and know how much time and effort it takes to learn a second language. I teach the language from scratch but always aim to get to the point where we can have conversational lessons. Talking is in my opinion the best way to master a language. I'll always be there to help you improve your pronunciation and formulate sentences thoughtfully. I also vouch to try to make the lessons as fun as possible even when we have to memorize an exorbitant amount of verbs together.My teaching material

There's no way I will be able to adequately describe how wonderful Michelle is as my Spanish teacher in such a limited space, but I will share why I think she will be more than a successful teacher for you. She has mastered English, which allows her to meet you at your current level and clearly explains challenging language topics so that the student can progress quickly. Her lessons are engaging with fun and interesting conversation topics, she will entertain you and teach you at the same time. I appreciate her professionalism and extra effort to encourage the student to continue exploring the target language outside of class. It's nice to have a teacher know what your level is and what interests you and provide resources that will have a direct impact on improving your Spanish. Michelle, thanks for the lesson!
