English Teacher and IELTS coach My name is Emma and I love teaching English online and in the classroom. I love teaching English because it gives me satisfaction to see someone learning a new language which will help them achieve a certain goal in their lives. If it is a child, I love having so much fun with my student while at the same time making sure they learn English.Vocabulary should be taught first, as it is the easiest to grasp because it can be demonstrated with a visual aid. As the student builds vocabulary, the instructor can begin introducing abstract words and elements of the language, but without explaining or focusing on the actual grammatical structure. The complexities of the language will be learned inherently, with the student picking up on its patterns through practice and a Guided practice: I model a new concept or skill step-by-step, then I lead students through practice examples before independent work. I minimize unnecessary information during initial learning phases reducing cognitive load so students can focus on key concepts. Scaffolding: Concepts and skills are broken down into manageable steps based on students' prior knowledge. Organized, structured sequences: Lessons follow set sequences like introductory review, presentation of new material, guided practice, independent practice, and weekly/monthly reviews.
