Hello, my name is Hans Simons. I'm from the Netherlands and have lived in many countries such as the US, the UK, Colombia, Italy and Spain. I love reading, a good movie, cooking, thus good food. As you can see, I have travelled the world, which has given me a lot to talk about.
Mijn naam is Hans, en ik ben een verpleegkundige uit Nederland. Heb veel gereisd en heb dus behoorlijk wat ervaring en taal opgedaan gedurende al deze jaren. Mijn grootste hobby's (naast reizen) zijn lezen, een goede film en goed eten (kook dus zelf.)

After 3 years teaching here at iTalki, it is time to update my profile a bit. Here at iTalki I have specialized in teaching Dutch to all level of students: from A0 to C1, inburgeringsexamen, and medical Dutch for healthcare professionals. Besides Dutch I also prepare students in English exams such as TOEFL, FCE, CAE and IELTS.
Sinds iets meer dan 5 jaar geef ik ook Nederlandse les. Sinds 2020 ook hier op iTalki. Geef Nederlands aan alle soorten studenten, van A0 tot C1, voorbereiding en helpen met het inburgeringsexamen en ook medisch Nederlands voor gezondheidszorgpersoneel. Met andere woorden. My lessons are based on what you want and need. We make a plan together, that way you know what is going to happen and when it is going to happen. Most is conversation based with grammar and vocabulary explanations. In the exam preparation classes I'll not only show you the correct English use of things but also how to do the exam.
De Nederlandse taal wordt gegeven met de methode Zichtbaar Nederlands. We gaan eerst leren waarom zinnen op een bepaalde manier in elkaar gezet moeten worden, wat voor structuur we gebruiken en dan beetje bij beetje woordenschat uitbreiden met lezen, schrijven en praten. Verder leer je hoe het inburgeringsexamen werkt en leer je veel dingen over Nederland.My teaching material

Hans was highly recommend to me by another student that i know.
In the introduction meeting today i sensed right away that Hans had the right capabilities, approach and interaction skills for teaching me dutch.

Tot nu toe heb ik ongeveer 25 lessen met Hans afgerond, en ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat ik zeer tevreden ben. Hans is geduldig en professioneel. Tijdens onze lessen konden we altijd over diverse onderwerpen spreken, en elke les was zeer interessant. Ik heb aanzienlijke vooruitgang geboekt wat betreft mijn taalvaardigheden.
