My name is Bryndís Rún Hansen and I am a native Icelandic speaker. A 29 year old graduate from University of Hawaii. I lived in Norway for 3 years and in USA for 5 years, therefore I have great experience with learning a new language and I am looking forward to sharing my techniques.Me as a Teacher
I have great experience working with people and teaching languages. I am a people person, with good communication skills, patient and dedicated.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons will be based on the intentions of the student, whether that is to learn basic conversations and vocabulary in Icelandic or take their learning to the next level. I will also make sure to individually plan each lesson based on how each student prefers to learn, with flashcards, audio, speaking or writing.5.0

Bryndís is an excellent teacher and makes Icelandic both approachable and engaging. I am not very adapt at learning new languages but working with Bryndís has rebuilt some confidence- which is impressive because of how notoriously difficult Icelandic is said to be!

Bryndís helped me with pronouncing some difficult Icelandic consonant clusters ( eg, rl, ll, nn, sl) and explained clearly the use of two types of the subjunctive “I guess” form. She is adept in clarifying the intricacies of Icelandic pronunciation and grammar.
