I had my first trial lesson with Bryndís and was amazed by how she in such a short time could get a clear view of my level and my goals, suggest a plan forward, as well as giving me tools right away that will help me with areas that are challenging for me at the moment. Will definitely book again!

Bryndis listens patiently to one’s questions and makes helpful corrections, answers, and suggestions to one’s speaking and listening abilities. She also provides clear cut examples of Icelandic usage. Her practical knowledge of both English and her native Icelandic make her an excellent instructor.

Bryndís and I discussed in Icelandic some recent events in my life with helpful grammatical corrections. We went over a modern Icelandic poem that had some challenging vocabulary. As usual, she was patient with my efforts at Icelandic pronunciation and case structure and clear cut in her explanations.

She is an excellent Icelandic teacher. She can effectively explain the complex Icelandic language, and is very patient.
