Hi, my name is Soňa (Sonia). I'm from the Czech Republic and I am an experienced Czech and English tutor. I also lived and worked in UK for over 14 years and currently I am based in Central Portugal where I live on my farm surrounded by beautiful mountains. I'm learning Portuguese at the moment which is very challenging but also great fun. I'm also an artist and I have studied art and literature at university. I love books, music and films, all sorts of craft and am very passionate about sustainability and simpler ways of life.

Me as a Teacher

As a teacher, I am patient and understanding because I have firsthand experience of learning new language. I know how it feels and how hard it can be, especially speaking.

My lessons & teaching style

You can rest assured my lessons will be as relaxed and fun as possible with clear directions. I prefer conversational style of teaching, where students speak as much as possible. You can choose the topic or area where you feel you need to improve (work related perhaps). I will correct your pronunciation and explain why that is so.
