I have been teaching Korean for 12 years at Korean school, secondary school and university in England. I understand how hard it is to learn a foreign language. 10years learning English didn't work for me due to the wrong learning and teaching methods. I ensure you don't go through what I went through in learning Korean. I love learning new things; music, languages, science, K-pop and dramas. I went to BTS concert as I love their spirits.
I make notes as we work and you will receive this at the end of the class with a voice note. Homework is a starting point for introducing new grammar & vocabulary. We build up on things we learn earlier in the class. I encourage you to talk in Korean.Me as a Teacher
I am organised, patient, supportive and passionate about teaching Korean to students. Whatever level you are at in learning Korean I assess your levels, needs and additional support for you to suit your ability. I make sure my students achieve the best outcome in my lesson and I am ready to support you to achieve your potential. To sum up, I am highly qualified and have a high standard teaching.
I have created my own textbook, an amalgamation of the images and sentences with grammar points, which help the student speak and then develop sentences using everyday words and grammar. Quizlet, wordwall is used. My aim is to encourage students to speak in Korean and improve their confidence. My lessons & teaching style
The most important element in my teaching is planning, preparing, engaging with students and motivating them to carry on learning Korean. During the lesson the main textbook files to suit your levels will be offered for a structured lesson. My Korean lesson will be engaging, fun and interactive. Teaching materials and resources are endless. Some of them are made by myself as I am currently developing my own Korean text book. Youtube videos, quizlets, kahoot and other websites on Korean cultural, social sides you want to learn will be my teaching materials as well. After lesson a lesson file will be sent to you to make sure you can review what you learn. My teaching material

Employment statement - Korean Education Centre UK Korean Embassy - 2020I have been teaching Korean and its culture to Holy Trinity School in England. This is a Korean Language and culture exchange programme funded by the Korean government. It can be only run by only 30 qualified Korean school teachers in the UK. As a teacher I have played a role of a civil ambassador to promote Korean culture and language even to students who didn't know Korea and Korean before. Based on these experiences I can teach Korean really well to any one who don't know any Korean.

Employment statement - Birmingham Korean School in Birmingham UK - 2017I have been teaching Korean to students from Birmingham Korean school and Birmingham University since 2017. I didn't have a teaching degree but the school employed me because of my experience as a Korean tutor for 7 years.

online Korean tutorI have been a Korean tutor on Skype since 2012. A student who learned Korean from me for 1 and half a year got a place in Korean Department at Harvard and her score in Test of Korean Proficiency Test was 180 out of 200 thanks to both her and my commitment.
I have been teaching Korean a British Archery Manager for two years and her Korean has improved. I have had positive feedback from many students.
My understanding of Skype language lessons and experiences are good assets to Italki

Suksuk 선생님 is one of the most creative and fun teachers I have met in my life. She focuses on teaching high-frequency real-life day-to-day words and sentences as opposed to textbook-style teaching, great if you want to pick things up in a natural way. Appreciate her hard work in sending flash cardsand homework for review on my free time over email. Tyvm 선생님 :)

I have been studying with Suksuk 선생님 for four months now. In my first session with her, literally the only thing I could say was 안녕하세요. With her help and guidance, now I am able to hold simple conversations about kdrama and write short essays on books and movies. Learning with Suksuk 선생님, you feel like you are not just learning Korean as a language subject, but also as an organic tool for understanding the Korean culture and society. I honestly cannot recommend her enough!

I had an excellent trial lesson with suksuk. She stands out in several ways for me. Among them: 1) Her approach to learning vocabulary is not random; words that have similar components are learned as a batch, and this context is very helpful. 2) Her emphasis on speaking--mistakes and all--really matches my goals. I also want to mention that her materials are excellent and she seemed to have an incredible variety of prepared slides at her fingertips to call up and use to explain a grammar point at a moment's notice. This was an excellent experience!

My first lesson went well. Sseam is cheerful and welcoming, constantly trying to engage me in the conversation by asking questions. She typed the key words and mistakes/mispronunciation on the screen for my easier reference. 너무 감사해요!
