About Me

I grew up in New York City and have been always been a teacher and language lover. I love sharing my passion for my favorite things, including the English language. I am a freelance teacher and writer with a master's degree in Japanese Buddhism. I am passionate about many subjects but if you are into religion and philosophy, you will never be bored, and won't even notice that you're talking about the most difficult things!
I have worked in finance and as a financial advisor, and I have a night course degree in accounting from NYU--so I am happy to work on business English with you as well.Me as a Teacher
NOTE: I am a teacher of intermediate to advanced students. Ideally you should be at a B1 level or higher before reaching out to me.
There are cheaper teachers out there more experienced with beginners. Most native speakers scarcely notice the endless litany of tiny differences between similies, phrasal verbs and their latinate counterparts, or the literary dimension of a language that lets you optimize the things unique to it. I've been a writing coach and SAT tutor for 15 years and help people get from the mediocre to the excellent in English.My lessons & teaching style
I always customize lessons to the student and draw almost entirely from native materials. Getting addicted to one of the endless options for English content, especially TV shows, is the best way to make learning effortless.
