My name is Charles, and I live in the United States now, after many years in France. Before living in France, I lived in Belgium, Germany, Austria and Taiwan. I work as a translator and in book publishing. I have worked as a teacher of French and English language and literature in France and the US, in the private sector, in public schools, and at universities. Bonjour ! Moi, c'est Charles et j'habite aux États-Unis après plusieurs années vivant en France. Avant de m'installer à Paris, j'ai vécu en Belgique, Allemagne, Autriche et au Taiwan. Je suis traducteur et je travaille en parallèle dans l'édition. J'ai été professeur des littératures française et américaine en France et aux E-U, comm I have taught English and French as second languages in various capacities, as well as Francophone and American literature. My goal is to build a comfortable, warm environment for my students, where they feel able to speak freely and use the language as much as possible. I rely heavily on authentic language source material to help the student build a personal connection with the language, and those who speak it.
