Yuliia Machula

Yuliia has adapted her lessons to support me to achieve my learning goals. For example, when I suggest topics and grammar that I want to improve on, she sends me things in advance to look at and follow up notes on our shared document that I can then refer to. She is patient, but the pace doesn't slack; her style means I am constantly hearing and responding to Ukrainian, and forced to concentrate. It feels like a good mental work out has been completed by the end of every class!

Yuliia was very focused on making every minute productive. I will be rebooking for more lessons. She took time to understand what I wanted, as well as what I was capable of doing. She was efficient at using tech to support her explanations and project resources for us to use. She was warm and personable in her approach but still made sure to correct my errors, which was very appreciated. She has evidently got a thorough and detailed knowledge of grammar which I love.

This week in my homework I was reading an article about a Ukrainian tradition whilst conjugating things in multiple grammatical cases. Why am I remarking on this? Well, I realised this means I have made so much more progress than I thought! It is not an easy language for me to learn, and for sure I am not a confident speaker, but Yuliia has been gently pushing me forwards and I’m delighted with what I’ve learned so far. In other words, if you are considering booking a lesson with her, please do! I think you will enjoy it and be successful. ☺️

Yuliia did a great job explaining the more intricate parts of Ukrainian grammar to me. She helped me a lot by correcting some of my mistakes, and she made our lesson very fun and engaging. I learned a lot and can't wait for our next lesson!

Yuliia is very well organized in lessons, and is very patient when I speak slowly. She is great at identifying where I need to improve, and effectively uses lessons and homework. :)
