My name is Nick, I am originally from Austria, and I have lived in Singapore for over 10 years. I am a native German speaker and also speak English at the native language level. Due to my interest in history and politics, I studied International Relations. However, my work is in the area of data analysis. In the last 1+ years here in italki, I have enjoyed the exchange with other people. In my free time, I love to do yoga, read books, and travel (well, at the moment, travel is a bit difficult).

Me as a Teacher

I started teaching online 1+ years ago and liked it. Due to my work, I am used to interacting with people remotely and getting things done. Before my online teaching experience, I have taught English and German during my uni days. I have learned to adapt myself to different learning styles and personalities. My lessons & teaching style

I focus my teaching on conversation classes and try to help my students improve their speaking abilities. Having a meaningful conversation in a foreign language and being exposed to comprehensible text and speech as much as possible is the best way to make progress. My role as a teacher will be to guide you and motivate you along your journey. But, of course, your progress will depend on your ability to study regularly and consistently by yourself during your free time! If you have a scheduling conflict within the 24 hours before our class, let me know beforehand through an italki message to find a solution; else, I will charge 50% of the agreed price.

Nick is very good teacher, who knows teach students in a organized way. I booked a course with him, in order to prepare my interview of data analysis, During the lesson, he diagnosed my situation at first , and gave some valuable advices! Thank you nick !
