About Me

My name is Nadette. I am South African and bilingual, with Afrikaans as my native language and English as my second. I love reading, playing instruments, listening to music as well as collecting vintage and antique books and clothing.

Me as a Teacher

I am a new teacher as I recently received my certificate for TEFL, also known as Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and have limited experience. I am friendly, motivating and patient. I am able to help with reading, writing, pronunciation, intonation and grammar.

My lessons & teaching style

Each lesson will be specifically catered to each students needs and language level. Students are welcome to make suggestions for lessons and I will incorporate said suggestions in future lessons. Learning a new language should be a fun experience that is why suggestions are welcome because everyone learns in a different way.
