Native English Speaker - 1 Year of Teaching and TESOL Tutoring Experience! Hello! My name is Grace, and I am a native English speaker and teacher from Kentucky, USA. (Yes, like the fried chicken!) I am a recent college graduate with an honors B.A. in English Literature. During my undergraduate degree, I minored in Chinese Studies and East Asian Studies. Currently, I am working on my M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs and getting a 120 Hour TESOL certificate. 🍓 You will find that I am an enthusiastic, focused, and welcoming teacher! I love helping my students achieve their language-learning goals and connecting with others from different cultures. I’ve traveled to seven foreign countries and studied abroad in two – South Korea and Japan. When I'm not teaching or on a plane, you can find me embroidering a pair of jeans, listening to music, or watching a studio Ghibli film! 🍓 I work as a Substitute Instructional Assistant at several local elementary schools. In the fall, I will be working as a part-time Substitute Teacher for grades K-12. I also worked as an in-person tutor for international college students! 🍓 My lessons utilize a structured curriculum where students are sent a course plan tailored to their English goals! I offer three different courses for students in order to help people gain the practice they are looking for. These courses allow students to focus on conversation, pronunciation, or grammar. I do not do test prep, and all lessons are held in English. 🍓 I look forward to seeing you in the classroom soon!
