InterestsArtMusicReadingTravelWriting
I was born and grew up in Bulgaria. I graduated in Political Science and Law from the University of Freiburg in Germany, where I lived for ten years. For the last seventeen years, I have been living in Spain and working as a language teacher.
I also write - irregularly, but as part of a long-term project: in my blog "Me llamo Rojo" I share essays, short fiction, book reviews and insights on different topics.
Me as a Teacher
I never thought that teaching could be the right job for me, but - here I am - seventeen years and around a thousand of students later. At some point, I realised that teaching had become a passion.
My professional experience before italki was focused mainly on exam preparation both in English (e.g. Cambridge, Trinity) and German (Goethe Institut, telc) and included - apart from the usual group and individual, intensive and regular courses - level-testing and organising mock exams. For several years, I also worked as an English examiner and corrector at one of the universities in Spain.
I hold a C2 Certificate in Spanish (DELE).
My lessons & teaching style
I adapt to my student's needs and language goals. In general, I use the communicative and direct methods of teaching. In my courses, I create a study plan based on the level, the pace of work and the interests of the student. I also create materials which cover specifically the grammar and vocabulary we have introduced in class. Language coaching naturally flows into my work: I help my students structure their language learning process and provide them with useful tips on goal-setting, time- management and efficient learning.
As a language learner myself, I appreciate the effort my students make and the time they dedicate to reaching a higher level of the language they are learning.

I can't recommend Aneta enough. She's a fantastic teacher and I can tell that she truly enjoys teaching. Classes are always challenging enough that I can really learn (and learn well), but not so much that I get nervous or overwhelmed. I look forward to many more classes.

Another fantastic lesson. I feel so lucky to have Aneta as my teacher. Her endless patience, expert guidance, and positive energy are why I've been learning with her for years. I couldn't recommend her more highly!

Aneta is really friendly, which I'm glad about as although I may not have seemed it, I was very nervous inside but that was quickly put at ease. I enjoyed my trial lesson and look forward to taking Aneta's Essential Bulgarian course!

Estoy muy contenta con la elección, es una profesora increible y más que recomendable. Ahora mismo estamos con el alemán, y en un tiempo aprovecharé para practicar con ella el inglés, lástima del francés...

Aneta is the best teacher for Bulgarian one could hope for. Her mix of flexibility and spontaneity and humor together with a very clear plan and structure makes her lessons a very helpful and focused delight. Big recommendation!

Aneta was really attentive to my personal learning goals and explained the best way to achieve them. She also took note of all the examples she gave me throughout the lesson so now I can use those to structure my self-study session.
