Hi! I'm Ayaka. Nice to meet you.
I like to sing songs, playing sanshin (an Okinawan instrument) and playing with animals!
I majored in international relations in university and have experience studying abroad in America and Hong Kong. I worked for a Japanese company for a few years before I started my career as a Japanese language teacher.
I'm excited to talk with people all over the world with italki!
【Note】From November 2025, my lesson slots might become more limited, or I may need to take a long break from teaching on italki, as I'll be focusing on childcare.

I think when you study a language, it is important to enjoy and not to give up on it.
I'll do my best to support you so that you can feel relaxed while enjoy learning, and achieve your goal.
I'll not only teach Japanese language but also help figure out how to study effectively and keep your motivation high.

I like to structure my lessons around my students goals, whether you want to focus more on conversation or more on grammar and reading.
I'll give you lots of chances practicing actual conversation using useful grammar and vocabulary!

For Intermediates:"Chukyu e ikou" "Chukyu o manabou"
*It's okay if you don't have these textbooks.

When I started Japanese with Ayaka Sensei, I just wanted to learn a few phrases to get me by on holidays in Japan. Now I'm studying at uni and with Ayaka Sensei to be a Japanese teacher! She is such a fantastic teacher!

I really love the structure of our lessons, and every time we meet I am challenged to draw on vocabulary I thought I'd forgotten! I love the way it all builds on past lessons. Ayaka sensei is the best!
