English TeacherFor a few months, I worked part-time as an English tutor at American Life in Samsun, Türkiye. Though I’d helped friends before, this was my first formal tutoring job. I taught several 1-hour group conversation classes each week, which helped me gain confidence in speaking to groups and teaching new concepts. I enjoy helping others, and teaching English gives me that rewarding feeling of making a difference.
2022 - 2024
English TutorI started teaching on Italki as soon as I completed my 120-hour TEFL certificate. I saw it as a way to enter the online market and I soon realized that I enjoyed the one-on-one lessons. I’ve been able to help others improve their communication skills as well as my own. This experience has helped me learn more about myself, and what I want from life and it motivates me to improve.

Bachelor’s - International Trade and LogisticsI moved to Türkiye in 2018 and spent a year learning Turkish before starting university. Studying in a different language was challenging and often demotivating—I even considered quitting. However, I’m glad I persevered. During university, I developed an interest in international trade, especially after taking International Business and Marketing during my third and fourth year. I want to be an expert in this field.

English TeacherI worked as a part-time English tutor at a language center for a few months, teaching teenagers and adults. I used fun methods like conversation practice, along with videos and other materials to help them learn. During this time, I improved my skills in planning lessons and managing classes, making sure to meet each student's needs. My tutoring sessions in-person.

My goal is to help students build confidence in their English skills through conversation and practical exercises. I use different online tools to make learning enjoyable and effective.
