Hi there ! My name is Laura and I am French-German. My father is French and my mother is German, therefore I grew up already being fluent in 2 languages.
While traveling in Europe then Australia and Asia for 2 years, I was lucky to meet people from around the World. Now, I am living in Kuching in the state of Sarawak on the beautiful & mysterious island of Borneo. How did I end up here ? I will save it once we'll virtually meet.
About me ? I am, what people call "a chatter box", joke aside, I like learning new languages, to travel, and practising sport (doing Muay Thai & Boxing since 2017).Me as a Teacher
I am a very easy going teacher and I will try make you feel at ease.
Regarding my "teaching methods", I just base them on how I learnt a new foreign language. The secret ? Nothing beats the "every day talk" with locals/native speakers. Once you have the basics then you can take a step further and go deeper in your conversation and chose more difficult topics. Just do NOT be afraid to talk, to pronounce wrongly or do mistakes, you will just need to go AHEAD first. My lessons & teaching style
Together, we will choose the topic(s) you wish to tackle, I will correct you if needed and reply to your questions regarding basic grammar rules. I will usually write the words you do not understand or the corrected ones inside the chat box. We will work on some newspaper articles, do some pronunciation exercices or simply have a casual chat.

Really entertaining lesson! Laura was very entertaining and energetic. Our conversation felt very natural and fluid, even though my French conversation ability isn't exactly good. There was rarely that awkward silence that sometimes happens with free practice classes. If my schedule allows, I look forward to practicing with her again!
