Hi everyone! My name is Maren. I am a certified German and French teacher. I was born and raised in Germany, where I was teaching in high-school. I’ve also worked as a language assistant in France. At the moment I live in the United States. Besides German, English, and French I also speak Croatian and Italian. Learning and teaching languages have always been my passion. My students have described me as friendly, attentive, encouraging, and supportive. I understand that speaking in a foreign language can make people feel quite nervous, so I will do my best to help you feel comfortable during our lessons. I am convinced that the best way to become fluent in a language is to be exposed as much as possible to it and to talk and to listen to native speakers. My goal is to get you talking as much as possible. I offer conversation classes. We can talk about anything that you want during this class. If you are not sure about what you want to talk about, I will always have questions prepared to ask you. For more advanced students I might also send a text or a podcast in advance, so we can talk about it together. While you are talking, I will write down any mistakes that I catch and wait for you to finish talking before explaining and correcting them. My classes are designed for intermediate and advanced level students (A2/B1-C2). I don't teach beginners at the moment.
