Hello! My name is Lela. I’m from Tbilisi, Georgia. Apart from English, I speak Russian, a little bit of German, and, of course, Georgian. I love traveling, photography, yoga, and spending time with friends and family. I hold a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and spent the past several years working in development cooperation. Now, I’m excited to dedicate more of my time to teaching through italki.

I’m a TESOL/TEFL-certified English teacher with over 6 years of experience teaching English online. Over these years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with students from all over the world. Watching my students’ progress brings me great joy and reminds me why I love teaching.

My lessons & teaching style

Through my years of practice, I’ve learnt that language learning is never one-size-fits-all. I listen carefully to students’ needs, tailor lessons to their goals, and create a supportive environment where they can build confidence and use English effectively in real-life situations. My sessions often evolve into lively discussions as I encourage conversational practice that keeps learners engaged and helps them communicate with greater ease and fluency.
