A Malaysian/Cambodian doctor with a passion for languages and an ability to speak seven languages through the approach of real-life experiences, such as traveling, working, and interacting with people, it is undoubtedly an effective way to gain practical fluency and a deep understanding of the cultures associated with those languages.
Ability to connect with people from different backgrounds, understand their cultures, and pick up on non-verbal cues like facial expressions is a valuable asset. It not only helps in my language acquisition but also in building strong interpersonal relationships with other people.Me as a Teacher

With background as a multilingual doctor and dedication to teaching, I have a valuable combination of skills that can greatly benefit my students. Dr Termizi is an unusually gifted teacher, being able to teach three very different languages, Malay, Thai and Cambodian.
He is tutoring me in Malay. I have already been learning Indonesian for 4 years with Indonesian tutors and was curious about the differences between Indonesian and Malay. Dr Termizi has been an excellent guide in this regard, and his own passionate interest in languages brings an extra luster to our interactions. It’s very interesting having conversation classes with someone who is sophisticated and cosmopolitan, he brings layers of experience that others may not possess.

Ter is a great teacher. Our classes went by very quickly because I was learning lots while having fun. Grammar, sentence structures, tenses and meanings were broken down in an easy-to-understand way. I speak broken Khmer and already feel much more confident because our classes were conversational which gave me the opportunity to practice what I had learnt with immediate feedback. Also Ter had lots of useful recommendations (whether it be food, taxi and banking apps). Thanks Ter!
