Greetings! My name is Diane and I am offering English lessons to adults ages 17 and up. I have eleven years of teaching experience which includes both live classroom and online experience. My twenty years as a designer spans across a variety of sectors including IT/cybersecurity, finance, marketing, and eLearning. I also spent ten years in medical office administration where I performed medical transcription. With this blended background, I can offer English lessons to professionals across a wide range of industries including business, IT, media, and medicine (nephrology, gastroenterology, molecular biology, microbiology).Me as a Teacher
I completed my CELTA in 2014 and I have a BS degree in business administration from Robert Morris College. Since 2015, I have been teaching ESL at my local library where I plan/deliver individual and small group lessons to improve students’ English language skills and understanding of American history/civics through reading, writing, vocabulary building, and class discussion. From March through December 2018, I delivered general and business English lessons to adult students online for Web International. I have been teaching online independently for the past five years. Some options include reading current-event news stories, completing grammar-intensive worksheets, and general conversation (be sure to come prepared with some topics that interest you).
