We continued to study the irregular Swahili verbs, this class we discussed the usage of the verb Kuwa ko. We also talked about a lot of cultural matters regarding Swahili and Tanzania. It was very interesting, since one of the best things about learning a new language is delving into the culture to which it belongs. Asante sana Sule, tutaonana baadaye!

Another great lesson! Suleiman, and myself practiced Kiswahili by having a nice conversation. If you're thinking about learning Swahili, Suleiman is your teacher! It's ok to make mistakes! I had many, and he pointed them out, so I could learn from them. After that, we would continue on. At the end of the class, Suleiman gave me a positive re-enforcer by his kind words of encouragement. I will continue to learn Swahili...no turning back! I'm so grateful to have Italki, and Suleiman as my teacher.

Suleiman is a patient and welcoming teacher that adapts to your level from the start. He also gives you exercises to practice together or to do as homework. I recommend him :)

This is my third lesson with Suleiman and so far he has been great. He's very responsive and is able to break down complicated concepts quickly and make them seem simple.
