Hana

great lesson with hana! today I read and translated my first story in Arabic, wonderful!!

Once again the lesson was excellent :) Hana is very good at teaching. In the first lessons, I learn how to present myself, how to present someone else (my brother and my mom), and the greetings. Today we saw how to talk about someone in the second person. Hana is very dedicate to our lessons and she loves cats as me :) Thank you so much :))))

I am getting some value out of my lessons with Hana. I’m finding that there are a lot of things I “missed” when I first learned the basics years ago - and she’s helping me to see those and get the short voweling down better. Arabic is tough but if it wasn’t I wouldn’t be as interested in it!

Hana is a really great MSA teacher. She wants you to learn all of MSA, and doesn’t gloss over the things that might seem like details to a new learner. I learned Arabic originally back in 2005 (DLI 8 hours a day for a year and a half) and it’s never been more apparent how many things we should have focused on back then now that I’m reapproaching the language. My vocabulary was probably higher back in 2005 than it is just a few months into starting studying again, but my understanding of what is going on is a lot higher than old me already. The vocabulary will come back with time and exposure. I’m sure I’ll learn and forget and learn and forget some things because the language is so different from English but eventually they quit slipping and start sticking to your brain as dots connect.

Hana is a great teacher—kind, efficient, and very supportive. Her structured lessons are engaging, inspiring, and ignite a genuine desire for learning. She motivates me to keep pushing forward. Highly recommend!
