I am a twenty years experienced Language Teacher, Lecturer and Researcher.
I got graduated for “Albanian language and literature” in 1997 at Shkodra University. In 2006 I got the tittle “Master” and in 2012 the tittle “Doctor in Science” in linguistics, at Tirana University, Albania. Since 2004 I am an Albanian language teacher (at a high school) and an assistant professor (part – time) at Shkodra University.
In 2017 I am awarded with the National Prize: "The teacher of the Year in Innovation", Albania.
I am member of the Albanian Scientific Women Network since 2017.
I am a Certified Trainer for teachers since 2018.
Author of a monograph, Co-author of 15 books in the Educational Field.Me as a Teacher
In October 2017 I won the National Prize “The teacher of the year in Innovation”, a competition organized by MAS (Albanian Ministry of Education) & ACCE (Albanian Coalition for Education).
I consider myself very fortunate because I have had outstanding teachers, professors, colleagues, who believed in me and encouraged me to go ahead.
During the 20 years of teaching at a high school and university (part time) I have always directed my students toward critical thinking.
My aim is: To teach to my pupils with heart, belief, knowledge, desire, passion to evolve their critical thinking.”
My motto is: “My pupils will be better than I am, My pupils will remember me as I remember my teachers.”My lessons & teaching style
I love teaching and I enjoy techniques which can be used to engage pupils. As a coauthor in several exercise books for children 7-12 years old I can apply a lot of language exercises and ways to practice our Albanian language.
These workbooks are attractive, practical and enjoyable for children.
I am also a coauthor of the book “Language teaching through the creative and interactive activities” (2013), which includes 101 language games.My teaching material

The doctoral thesis of "Applied linguistics through Albanian language curriculum", published in 2013, presents the importance of studying the language in use based on today's principles of applied language studies in general and the use of Albanian language in addition to its theoretical teaching in particular. This publication gives students, teachers and scholars a general overview of the language used and the problematic of this language.

Language TeacherI started my teaching experience in 1998 in a high school in Shkoder, Albania. I tought Albanian language in several schools until 2001. Then I started full -time at medrese high school, where still continue.
From 2004 –ongoing I am an Assistant Professor in Linguistics Department, (Part-Time), “Luigj Gurakuqi” University. During the years 2012 –2018 I lectured language disciplines (Part-Time) at Art Academy Shkodër, Albania. And on 2013 –2015 I was member of Senat in Art Academy, Shkoder.

Irida Hoti is a very patient and helpful teacher, my confidence was not high, but she is building that confidence and giving ideas on how increase my retention.
