I have been a schoolteacher, working with young children, for over 25 years, so I am very experienced at working with young learners, and at making my lessons active, fun and engaging. Thanks to my job, I am also really experienced at planning lessons, meeting specific objectives, assessing learners and adapting my teaching methods and style to what suits them best, whether working with children, teens or adults.

With children, I use lots of games to keep the learning fun and active, and I also have some basic questions which I start each lesson with. I find that repeating these questions each week helps children to quickly develop confidence, gives them some basic vocabulary and also starts to build fluency.
If you are an adult learner, then we will start by establishing your level of English and you sharing with me what your goals are. I will then plan lessons to help you meet these goals. If you just want to practise speaking and listening, then book an English Conversational Skills lesson. For a more in-depth level of teaching, book an Intermediate or Advanced lesson.My teaching material

My children are absolutely amazed by Nici! Each lesson is full of useful activities, including speaking , reading, playing,exactly what children need. Nici manages to find relevant pictures on topics that are of great interest for my kids, so they are always so excited before the lesson and visibly elated after it. Moreover, I’m very grateful to Nici for teaching my son phonics,that makes my life easier.
