Hi. My name is Thao Pham. I was born and raised in Vung Tau, Vietnam. The city is in the south of Vietnam. I am currently living in Vancouver, Canada. I am a native Vietnamese speaker. I love languages in general, so I decided to get into linguistics major to learn more about the connection between languages and human history. I also like to cook in my free time. Cooking fulfills my craving of delicious dishes that my mom cooked for me at home. Sharing my knowledge about languages with others is my passion. Living in a country where people speak a different language makes me realize the importance of using a language effectively to adapt into a new environment. Therefore, I want to help people who want to learn Vietnamese or English to start their life plans in Vietnam or English speaking countries. I believe in student centered teaching methods. I will design lesson plans according to learners' needs, goals and skills that they want to improve on. I will share with learners knowledge on Vietnamese culture, lifestyle, tourist attractions, history, and cuisine with the best of my abilities. If you are curious about Vancouverite's daily life, I am here to share my experience with you. To me, language is a tool for us to communicate life experience and to learn more about the wonderful world we live in. I am eager to share everything I know through a journey of learning Vietnamese or English.
