I am Russian by birth, but was mostly educated in the UK and now work in London as a lawyer. I want to qualify as a teacher of Latin and Ancient Greek, which I have studied to degree level at Oxford University and in Russia. In the meantime, I am teaching those languages on italki. Я родилась в Москве, но выросла и училась в Англии. Закончив Оксфорд я вернулась в Россию и прожила там почти пять лет. Изучала классическую филологию в Оксфорде и (вернувшись в Россию) в РГГУ. В 2008г я вернулась в Лондон и затем до недавнего времени работала юристом, но хочу переквалифицироваться на учителя латыни и древнегреческого. Преподаю латынь, древнегреческий. I am teaching Latin and Greek at all levels (including exam preparation). While living in Russia, I taught English as a foreign language at all levels for nearly five years in a language school, using both standard and my own materials. I am still in touch with some of my students, and am interested in each of them as individuals. I have a good understanding of grammar and can explain finer points of language if required. I also enjoy introducing people to new ideas and points of view, including through language teaching and by introducing them to different cultures, and discussing their thoughts and reactions from their various perspectives.
