Hi my name is Kaori. I am from a city near Yokohama in Japan. I have been living in London for 25 years. I also lived in Edinburgh and Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, long time ago.

I have been working as a professional tourist guide in England and Wales. So I have a good knowledge about these areas.
I am also a voice-over artist and occasional actress....or I should say an extra. I have been in a feature film (as a waitress)!
I love traveling, hill walking, cycling, British music (rock, indie and punk), pale ale, gin, yoga, baking, herbs, Celtic design, cats.Me as a Teacher
I have MSc in Applied Linguistics and I have passed Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test in 90s.
I have taught Japanese as a foreign language for 7 years in total from teenager to business person both in group lessons and private lessons.

Conversation lessons would be in relaxed and friendly style. I won't use any text books or materials. Therefore the main focus is to brush up your speaking and listening skills. It would probably suit from intermediate level onwards. I will correct mistakes in grammar and vocabulary if requested.
General Japanese lessons will be, again in relaxed and friendly class! We use a text book called Genki 1 and you will learn grammars and vocabularies as well as Japanese writing!
