I'd love to help you succeed on your language-learning journey! I'm Russian-American by birth, but have lived abroad and studied many foreign languages as a personal interest such as Korean as part of a study abroad program, Arabic during my Bacherlor's degree in Italy, and Norwegian to better connect with my ancestry. I particularly enjoy striving to learn a new language in order to be able to read books in the original version. I also enjoy history podcasts, foreign films and spending time with my family. As a teacher, I aim to prioritize each student's individual goals and needs in helping them improve in a language. I do my best to help the student find a way of learning that best suits their specific style and personality and that allows them to see results and enjoy the process while maintaining realistic expectations. I want to see everyone succeed and be satisfied with themselves for the effort and time they've invested on their language learning journey! I don't have one set way of teaching. Rather, I try to figure out what approach would work best with each individual based on what their goals are. I prioritize pronunciation and a strong foundation in basic grammatical concepts as two things that you can build upon confidently. My goal is for our time spent together to be fruitful and satisfying.

Davvero felice di aver conosciuto un’insegnante così preparata come Sophia. Mi sono sentito davvero a mio agio a parlare con lei e a confrontarmi sulle mie difficoltà nel parlare in un'altra lingua.
