Hello, I am a passionate and qualified Swahili language teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Education and a major in Swahili. I am dedicated to helping my students learn the language and culture of East Africa. With over four years of teaching experience, I utilize fun and interactive methods to make learning Swahili an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Currently pursuing a master's degree in Translation, I am committed to continuously improving my skills and sharing my knowledge with students worldwide.
Let's start our journey toward fluency together!
Me as a Teacher
As a Swahili language teacher, I strongly believe in a learner-centered approach to teaching. With a Bachelor's degree in Education and a major in Swahili, I have over fou years of experience developing and implementing engaging lesson plans tailored to each student's learning style and pace. I am passionate about creating a comfortable, supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, explore the language and culture of East Africa, and develop their Swahili language skills. As I pursue my Master's in Translation, I am excited to integrate new techniques and strategies into my teaching methods, and help my students achieve their language learning goals.
My lessons & teaching style
My Swahili language lessons are designed to help students improve their speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills. I use the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method to promote effective communication, which encourages learners to actively use the language and communicate with one another in a fun and meaningful way.
Furthermore, I focus on providing practical and real-life scenarios that help learners apply their skills in everyday life. I believe that a strong emphasis on oral communication, as well as regular listening and reading practice, is essential for developing and improving language proficiency.

I had a good lesson with Tuchi. He has a vast knowledge of Swahili as well as English which is very helpful. He also knows the Swahili words for technical terms which is something one does not often see. There seemed to be some minor problems with his audio which meant I had to strain now and then to hear him. Besides that, the only suggestion I have is for him to perhaps ask more questions. Overall, though, he gets two thumbs up. Asante sana, Tuchi!
