Steven is a super-talented, professional teacher. He has a special ability to explain more difficult words and concepts in terms of easier, simpler words that the student already knows. Steven is positive, patient, and extremely knowledgeable about French literature and history. I like that he corrects my word choice, grammar, and pronunciation. Thank you for teaching, Steven!

What an amazing teacher Steven is. I’ve just had a 60-minute lesson with him and it was interesting, fun and rewarding. Steven is easy to talk to, extremely kind and patient, and gives you plenty of constructive comments to help you improve. He is a diamond of a teacher.

My lessons with Steven have not been quite what I expected - less general conversation, more discussion of literature - and I love them. Somehow he has found an intellectual sweet spot for me, where I read assigned items then struggle to express my thoughts about them, while working to comprehend his astute analyses. Not for everybody, maybe, but just right for me.

Steven is a wonderful teacher. He has a calm and insightful demeanor and explains complex topics in a straightforward manner which are easily digestible. It is a joy to talk with him on a variety of topics and I would highly recommend working with him. I have no doubt that your French will improve.
