💜 I love languages, dancing, my cats, writing, travel, yoga, acrobatics and daydreaming. And, of course, teaching my native language: English!
💙 I love studying foreign languages! My favourite is Norwegian. I also learn Japanese. I have studied Spanish, French, German, Icelandic, Finnish and Tswana. I want to learn Ukrainian, Italian and Chinese too.Me as a Teacher
I am patient, encouraging and enthusiastic. I am not a strict teacher. It's very important to me that you feel safe, comfortable and supported in our classes together. That's why my teaching style is relaxed, and I treat all my students like friends. I know just how scary it can be booking a class and talking to someone you don't know in a language you don't feel confident speaking! So I will never judge you for your mistakes. I'm here to help you and support you.My lessons & teaching style
My classes are designed around your goals and interests. Every student is different and has different needs! Here are some things we might do:
* Practice conversation using pictures and questions as prompts
* Study grammar, vocabulary and natural language with presentations and worksheets
* Watch videos together and talk about the language used
* Read articles and have a discussion about what you have read
* Work on listening comprehension with audio files
* Talk freely about anything and everything
I can give corrections on the spot, at the end of class or in a Google doc after class.
I only give homework if you want it 😊
