Fun conversation about movies, books, and art! Hi there! My name is Rebecca and I'm a community teacher of English here on Italki. I'm from Los Angeles but I now live in Philadelphia and I'm a fellow language learner myself -- I've been learning Italian for several years. I love movies, books, and art and I spend a lot of my free time seeing the latest movie that has come out or going to one of the many wonderful art museums in the city. I am a very relaxed teacher -- my main goal is to keep you as relaxed as possible while practicing your English. I know how frustrating it can be to be able to speak really well in your target language ... until you're actually talking with a native speaker and suddenly it feels like you don't remember basic vocabulary! So I really want to keep lessons relaxed and comfortable and I will take the lead from you -- if there is something specific you would like to focus on in our conversations just let me know! As I said, lessons are very relaxed and there is no set structure. Generally I will send you something to look at before our lesson -- it might be an interesting article, a youtube video, or even a podcast episode. I try and tailor these resources to you so if there's a topic you're particularly interested in, let me know! Then during our lesson, we'll discuss what I sent and you can practice talking about your interests more in-depth.
