I live in Costa Rica and I m a mother of a little baby. I like camping, hiking and gardening, I`m into languages, and linguistics and dialects. Occasionally I love to sing or play the guitar. I love to talk about culture things, travelling, art, medicine and healing (medical herbs) , animals, baby parenting stuff and everthing what we are passionate about :-) Attention: usually giving clases works out, but as I am a mother of a baby it could happen that there is a delay.

Me as a Teacher

I was working as a german and alphabetization teacher in Austria during 3 years, wih people of different origins, education, adolecents and grown ups, slow- and quicklearners. So in general I m very used to different kinds of students and can easily adapt. I prefer SKYPE over italkieclassroom. If you dont come to a lesson without prior message and it wasnt an emergency please understand that you still will have to pay the class. If you wanna book for your kid, please write me before booking, to know if I can help you with your learning needs.

My lessons & teaching style

My way of teaching always depends on the needs of the client and his level. I can do grammar and send exercises for this, but we also can work very conversation based, while learning new vocabulary and explaining new grammar when talking. I m quite flexible. I personally always studied and learnt languages in many different ways- conversation/ dry grammar/ songs. etc. At the moment in italki I offer conversation and if I feel that its useful or if u ask for it I combine it with exercises/ texts/ homework. I like to create a relaxed atmosphere,, and I think mistakes are essential, so just let go of perfectionism and pressure :-) no need for that :-)

A really lovely lesson with Anna. She even got out the guitar to play the Austrian anthem! What a spontaneous teacher!! I really enjoy our conversations and my confidence is building - I don’t mind making mistakes because Anna will help to correct me in a really good way. I really look forward to my lessons- and I honestly have never felt that way towards learning German before in my life! Danke Anna!

If Sanny was good in our first lessons. She has really got much better now: She cares for corrections in their students, she wants them to express themselves without disastrous errors. She knows how to address feedback, provides pleasant conversations, and she even walks extra kilometers for her students: produce worksheets with important insights from their lessons and she makes her own podcasts herself. A true tutor on Italki! 5/5!!

I really enjoy my lessons with Sanny. She makes me feel very comfortable because she's super friendly. In our sessions, we have discussed interesting topics, read articles and described images to make stories. I have learnt many new words and I have learnt a lot from my own mistakes; but most importantly, I have had so much fun! The fact that she speaks Spanish is a big plus. Danke Sanny, du bist der Hammer!
