I am a language learning enthusiast myself and have been learning languages on italki for many years and have finally decided to become a teacher to help others reach their language learning goals. I hold a BA in German Language and Literature from the FU Berlin and am currently pursuing an MA in Iranian Studies. I have several years' experience tutoring students of all backgrounds and ages offline.
I draw upon my own experience as a language learner to help others navigate the challenges of learning a new language.

I have had lessons with many different iTalki teachers over the past few years, but Michael stands out with his friendly, calm and patient manner. He creates a wonderful teaching environment where I, as a student, feel secure and comfortable enough to not worry about making mistakes or looking bad. Instead, we discuss everything and make sure I take away something positive from each lesson. Michael's German skills are excellent and he is able to give nuanced explanations of the intricacies of German grammar and vocabulary. Inspiring to say the least. I feel very lucky to have found him!

Had a great lesson with Michael! The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, we discussed interesting topics and had a really engaging conversation. Michael corrected my speech along the way, which I found super helpful. Would definitely recommend!
