Soosun

Soosun 샘 was really nice and we really like her teaching style! We took the trial lesson and she gave out clear layout on what her lessons will be like and we like the idea that she gives homework and tests for her classes. Can't wait to start our first official lesson together!

Have been learning Korean with Soosun 선생님 for a couple of months now. She goes at a pace that matches the student's ability so that its just right. Her added worksheets to supplement the Sogang syllabus are also really helpful. She has a cheerful disposition and most importantly for me, she speaks excellent English so she fully understands what I'm trying to ask. She was also very accommodating when I had to make last minute changes to my schedule, even though she was not obliged to. Highly recommended!

It's been a little over a year now that I've been working with Soosun. I feel incredibly grateful to her, because my Korean has improved so much. I have definitely put in the effort, but she has been such an encouraging teacher throughout, organized in her lesson planning, but delightfully spontaneous in conversation. Despite all my mistakes, I never feel self-conscious or embarrassed during the lesson. The hour just flies by. I look forward to another year working with her. 수선 씨, 감사합니다!

Today was a great first lesson. Ms Kim used visually support to help me with reviewing the Korean alphabet. We practiced basic greetings as well. Ms Kim took time to get to know my learning goals as well. I’m happy with this lesson.

I had a great time in my first lesson with Soosun. She was laser focused on my learning goals and it felt like every minute of our class time was dedicated to her assessing my current level so that she can make a plan to get where I want to go. She was extremely nice but also honest about where my biggest opportunities for growth are and the fact that growth takes focus and time to achieve. I loved it and can't wait for the next class.

Almost 3 years of taking classes with her , I always recommend Soonsun to any one who asks me about my korean classes. The quality I get from these classes is unmatched and I always appreciate her patience with me. Even with my busy schedule, she is understanding and supportive as a teacher even when I struggle remembering the basics.
