I hold a Master's Degree (MA) in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from The Ohio State University. In 2022 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSEd) from The Ohio State University, double majoring in World Language Education and Spanish and minoring in World Literatures. I have experience teaching English in Oaxaca, Mexico, and I married into a Peruvian family in June 2025. Thus, I can appreciate the meaningful intercultural exchange facilitated through language study. I am passionate about learning languages, meeting new people, and engaging in cultural discussion. I would love to help you practice your English! My teaching philosophy is centered around immersion and experiential learning. I believe that engaging in meaningful intercultural exchange is one of the best ways to grow in the target language. Since last summer I've been studying English on iTalki, and Addie was my first teacher. I thought, I would practice speaking, learn to listening comprehension, and so on. But I've learnt much more: about American culture, methods of learning (Addie likes to repeat: 'work smarter, not harder'), and, the most important, that lessons and study English can be exciting.
