Ciao! My name is Martina, I was born in Novara, Italy, but for the past seven years I’ve been living in Spain. More than twenty years ago, my first encounter with the English language: it was love at first sight. Then came French, German, Russian, Spanish... In 2012, my first time teaching Italian to foreigners in the United States. The following year, my passion for languages came true and I started teaching Italian and translating full time. When I'm not working, you can find me trekking in the mountains, cooking, and reading books or watching movies on the sofa.Me as a Teacher
I am a certified teacher of Italian for foreigners with over seven years of experience in teaching online to adult students from all over the world, who have always appreciated my professionalism, my patience, my dedication, and my ability to understand and adapt to their needs. I have taught Italian to University students, Erasmus students, managers, company directors, or simply to people eager to get to know this beautiful language and its equally rich culture. With me, you can take general Italian courses, conversation courses or business Italian courses; I am here to listen to you and to help you reach your goals.My lessons & teaching style
Before we actually start learning, we will check your current Italian level and we will discuss your goals, needs, and expectations. The materials and the content of the lessons will then be adapted to you, your learning style and what you really need. My preferred teaching method is the communicative approach, which allows an immediate practical application of what is covered in class; through a series of guided and semi-guided activities and exercises, you will gradually gain autonomy and confidence while speaking or writing in Italian. At the end of each session, I will provide you with customized vocabulary resources to study and review words and phrases covered in class.My teaching material

My speaking has substantially improved with these lessons with Martina. My husband and I went to Italy, and I was able to comfortably have many conversations with people who spoke little to no English. I still have a long way to go to be fluent, but my level is certainly enough to get around even in small Italian villages.

I always enjoy my lessons with Martina. Not only is she helpful and very patient, she also is very adaptable. If I request a particular activity or topic, she is always willing to accommodate me. If I don't have anything specific, she always has something for us to work on.

Martina is a really kind friendly teacher who is really organised. She gives you the corrections and adjustments that you need in a way that makes you feel you a progressing with levity. I really look forward to my lessons with Martina she shows a lot of patience even when I have really struggle on a topic and repeatedly needed correction and guidance to correct the same errors. You can tell she is well experienced and has a lot of resource I would recommend Martina as a teacher.
