I am a Certified Spanish teacher from Mexico City. I have been working as language teacher and translator for five years.
During our first class my main priority will be to find the best method for you class based on your strengths, your needs, and your preferences. Whether our classes are conversation practice sessions or General Spanish Language Classes I prepare meticulous classes from which you will get the most.Me as a Teacher
Regardless of whether you are an absolute beginner, intermediate, or advanced; whether you've studied no English at all, taken some classes or just gotten some exposure because of your family , your city or your friends I am committed to prepare the perfect class for you.
I start our first classes with some conversation, so that I can get to know you and assess what you need; all the things you need to improve, your strengths, learn from your preferences and your previous experiences with Spanish and from there steer the direction of our classes. I like to use different methods and materials.My lessons & teaching style
Spanish Language Class
30% conversation and feedback. I will type out what you say with corrections, tips , and new expressions to sound more natural.
70% focus on your goals, level, and interests. We will carry out different activities that I think will benefit your Spanish the most.
Práctica de conversación/ Conversation practice + feedback
These classes allow you to speak. I will deliberately ask you questions that test your level, providing corrections and improvements. If you repeatedly make mistakes, I will give you some advice as well as new words or expressions for you to sound more like a native. I also get to learn about you and your interests!My teaching material

I had a short (half hour) first lesson with Eduardo. As a beginner, I expect to make a lot of mistakes as I learn. Eduardo encouraged conversation while providing simple corrections and explanations. And I appreciated his calm and focused approach. I look forward to learning more.

I’ve taken almost 10 classes with Eduardo and can say he’s one of my favorite Spanish teachers here on italki! It’s very rare to find an instructor who really takes the time to structure lessons based on your needs. I would especially recommend Eduardo if you’re hoping to improve your grammar - his explanations are clear and he is super patient :)
