Friendly English teacher with 20 years of experience! (Mid-level and Advanced learners.) My name is Shane and I have an Honours BA in English Literature and Language and TESL certification (George Brown College). I have taught many different levels and I have 20 years of experience. I am friendly, patient and eager to work with you. I am trying a NEW approach. I want our lessons to focus on YOU talking. I want you to choose a topic and prepare an 6-8 minute talk about this topic. Afterwards, I will ask you questions and we can have a conversation about the topic. The lesson will end with me commenting on your English and where you can improve. Topics: 1. What is something you did that makes you feel very proud? Why did you want to do it in the first place? What was the hardest part of the journey, and how do you want to keep improving or growing this success in the future? 2. Think about a time you had to make a very important choice in your life. What were your options, and what helped you make your final decision? Looking back, how did that choice change your life? Would you change anything today? 3. If you could create your absolute dream job or workspace, what would it look like? What matters most to you—making good money, having free time, or doing creative work? What is one small step you can take toward that dream right now? 4. Modern life can be very busy and stressful. What is your favorite way to completely relax and clear your mind? Why does this specific activity help you so much, and how do you make time for it in your busy schedule?
